FTP: Keep date of downloaded files using MDTM

Post by *Hacker »

Hi Christian,
TC only seems to use the timestamp from the FTP file listing when trying to keep the original file date. I suggest using MDTM to get an exact timestamp.

TIA

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Unfortunately this would slow down downloads of many small files even more (another command per file).

Then please make it optional. I depend on keeping exact timestamps for transferred files.
Perhaps there is some workaround using Sync dirs meanwhile?

I want to keep huge amounts of data synchronised via TC and FTP server. Most parts of the data are uploaded (via TC copy) and other parts are transfered using TC synchronize function.

Unfortunatly this does not work, because the file date is not kept during file copy.

Are there any plans to implement this as an option in one of the next versions ?
