I am working with TC 7.02a. With older versions I could always open a tab.
As strange as it sounds regardless wether I use the menu or CTRL-T always the multi-rename tool is started. CTRL-M starts it as well thus it is not just switched.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am a great fan of tabs.
Thanks a lot!

•So, please, check your settings there…When the folder-tabs are quite disabled by cm_VisDirTabs, Ctrl+T recovers its old assignment : it opens the Multi Rename Tool !
…as I am a great fan of tabs…

The setting which activates folder tabs or deactivates them is to be found here:
Configuration => Options => Layout => [X] Show Folder Tabs.
If you untick this, then Ctrl+T will open the multirename tool.
The settings under "Configuration" => "Options" => "Folder Tabs" will only have any effect if you enable the general setting shown above.
And yes, I have grown wiser and am a dedicated "folder tab" user now.

2latus: CTRL-M is the default key for the Multirename Tool.
CTRL-T is the default key for a new Tab.
CTRL-T was the key for the Multirename Tool in older versions of TC, but changed to CTRL-M with TC 6.0.
You may have defined your own shortcut ...
Please check your settings at "Configuration - Options - Misc"
At "Redefine Hotkeys" select the CTRL option and select the "T" key.
=> The command entry should read "Default command (no remapping)
If not, just delete the displayed entry and press Apply button to restore the default.
