If the target directory does not exist TC shows no error message at all.
This is both confusing and dangerous.
Moreover, suppose I change dirs using TC directory hotlist to "c:\temp\dir1\" but "dir1" does not exist. TC will silently navigate to "c:\temp\".
Applies in most places the cd command may be used: command line, dir hotlist, buttons, start menu.

TC for Linux please!
Suggestion to improve this:
Maybe an optional warning would be useful, maybe the same that appears when using <Ctrl+cursor_right> or <Ctr+cursor_up> on *.lnk files, whose target doesn't exist anymore.
An OK button there could CD to the target as near as possible,
a Cancel button could abort the CD command.

Please, do not blame the users with an extra MessageBox.StatusQuo wrote:Suggestion to improve this:

I think, users who are typing CD commands or pressing CTRL+Cursor keys
are not "normal" users, but more likely power users.
And if you are power user, you are recognizing such behavior.
If this is documented in the help, than I would say, please don't change
this behavior.
