TC 7.02a on XP x64: Folder Marker icons don't appear

I have reviewed all the materials in the wiki and forum having to do with the 64-bit/32-bit DLL load, dynamic and static, and the wow64 redirection and other whatnot but it doesn't seem to fit the scenario and without the symbol tables for TC I'm not likely to get much further soooo....

I was wondering if anyone out there has encountered the problem (or a similar one having to do with non-display of icons on 64-bit XP) and may have come up with a workaround.
