L'important n'est pas de convaincre, mais de donner à réfléchir.
The important thing is not to convince, but to incite to think.

Isn't this an item for the Dutch forum? That's where the translators are.
"Verwijder" also can be translated as "Remove", almost equal to "Remote".
But according to the dictionary 'Remote' means "far away", not gone.
Vansumsen's alternative is the most literally in this case, but has the risk
that 'ver' can be read as 'version', so I prefer the 'external' of lebans.
Extern in the sense of being outside the range of the current properties and
descriptions of the actual system, so not recognizable.
Actually "Verwijderd" has two meanings. One means deleted, the other means remote. However the second meaning is only used in sentences where is it clear by the context that the second meaning is applicable. So any dutch person will read "Verwijderd bestand" as "Deleted file".

Thanks for the report. What would be the correct translation?
In my opinion "Extern bestand niet gevonden!" (External file not found). In accordance with Microsofts translation of dialup networking (Remote Network Access) into "externe toegang" which means remote access.
