[Bug] Deleting of a folder with many small files hangs TC

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[Bug] Deleting of a folder with many small files hangs TC

Post by *hubutz »

Hey all,

i'm using 7.02a on Vista64bit. I can reproduce an error which occurs when i start to delete a folder with lots of files inside. TC memory consumption goes up to 2 GB then, it doesn't react and my PC turns very slow then.

Dunno what the reason can be.

Cheers,

Unfortunately I have no idea what is causing this. Maybe a bug in SHFileOperation in Vista? TC isn't itself allocating that memory...

If i can help you with that just tell me. Is TC producing any logfile that could help?

I'm waiting for the official Vista-SP1 release.
Let's see, I will try to get the SP1 RC and install it on a test machine. If this will change anything, I will report it here.

Kind regards.
