Ieview and thumbnails

Post by *fenix_productions »

Is it possible to use ieview lister's plugin to see files thumbnails correctly?

Because of lack of TC's plugin for good viewing of SVG files I've decided to install Adobe SVG Viewer. I've configured ieview.wlx to load SVG files. Now it is working for F3 only. It is not possible to me to have proper results in thumbnails mode. I can see assigned application's icon only (Inkscape). Is there any other way?

PS. Sample SVG file here.

I don't know, same problem with pdf(using foxit), djvu and even html, ieview don't generate thumbnails.

I was looking before for a simple svg2xxx for use with pdffilter with no luck. Finally I install Adobe SVG Viewer too.

PS: I found a "A C# SVG rendering engine,..." (svg.dll); maybe someone can use it for make a plugin. :lol:

Inkscape accepts command line parameters (for conversion also):
http://inkscape.modevia.com/inkscape-man.html

Unfortunately: that is not "light" way but it's possible to have it cut for necessary files only. Whole of it UPXed gives 36.3MB.

Here you can find required files list.

C# code library might not be so good (IIRC .NET framework is needed).

Has MultiLister (ex. PDFfilter) got the possibility to render thumbnails?

[OT]
seems that I miss something on multilister ini, however I hate java apps.
listfilter.ini wrote:[SVG]
StartFile=<?xml version=*SVG*
HeaderSize=1024
Resolution=100
Fitpage=0
Format_JPG=java.exe -jar "c:\Program Files\batik\batik-rasterizer.jar" -d %o% -m image/jpeg -q 0.6 %fn%%hide%%console% SVG Rastrerizer

Just found, RENESIS® PLAYER
It has a "shell extension" for thumbnails and a "plugin" for IE, you can chose register one, other, both, ... nevertheless the thumbnails are not fit on square, e.g. your ikona.svg almost disappear on Right-Down of thumbnail in WinExplorer, and disappear on TC.

Thank you for that find-out BUT I've decided that the best working solution is to export PNG file for each SVG. I am still using Inkscape with parameters for multiple files conversion.
