Well, nice idea but... I'm afraid it's a Windows program so.. it works only in Windows environment
Its old name was....
Windows Commander.

You may try Norton Commander wich looks like Tcmd. I managed to use it before Windows 95....

Now that's a nice one:
Try NC, that looks like TC"
But of course you're right, it's the tool for DOS and yeah, I still have to admin a couple of really old Boxes with MS Lanmanager - and NC

I know that i can use NC but but it dos'n support long filenames
VC dos but it dosn't have the ability to pack files at lest not the vc - beta Free
I have payed ones for wincmd, so therfore it coud be nice to use it under dos too wit lfn support
>>NC looks like TC<
Well so do all the other NC clone, and we all know that TC is a Clone of NC... But what a clone the bedst ever i would say

Try Dos Navigator.
IMHO it's one of the best DOS file managers and.. it's free.

That's a great idea! Let's ask Ghisler to make TC a really multiplatform application - for DOS, Windows, Linux (graphical and command-line variants), MacOS...
Sorry for offtop.

i once created a bootcd with win3.1 launching in RÁM and the 16bit-version of Tc works ,but without long filenames.
(search for Winworm)
For long filenames for dos ,i use volkov-commander with additional doslfn , a commandlinetool.Vc is still beta ,but it works. You can implement all modern packers.
