Compare by Content - No progress bar?

Compare by Content - No progress bar?

When I compare by content on very large files, there is no progress bar displayed. Furthermore, if I exit TC7.04a and run it again, the file panes are blank and other visual items are missing. It seems as though the compare by content runs as a separate process but TC is confused until it completes and then all is well.
