Some suggestions for 'Open files dir with single click'

Post by *RPG0 »

Hi !

I just got a tablet pc and i tried that single click option, but i think it can be better (should have more than a checkbox in settings):

Let the user click different parts and choose what each does:
Clicking Icon opens/focuses/selects file
Clicking Name opens/focuses/selects file
Clicking Size opens/focuses/selects file
.
.
etc.

Maybe make it different for dirs.

Also Let the user choose if dragging starts copy or does something else.

here's how i would set it up:

Clicking Icon focuses files and folders
Clicking Name opens files and folders
Clicking Size also opens
Clicking Date, Time or Attrib opens File properties

Dragging started from the icon selects the files/folders (like normal operation with right click)
Dragging started from any other starts copy (normal behaviour)

Well, that's my dream, but at least make a new mode where clicking the icon of a file/dir opens it, and clicking the name just focuses it (as if we're in double click mode) or vice-versa.

Thanks,
RPG

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
