Ann: IEWebLister WLX v1.01

Post by *ctiberg »

This plugin is just an integration of the standard web browser into a lister plugin. The internal lister does HTML, but there's nothing wrong with seeing the pages with images and styles.

The plugin requires Total Commander 5.5+

Download from CommSoft at http://www.commsoft.nu/startdl.php?program=ieweblisterwlx

Bug:
Plugin doesn't accept pressing '4' to switch to another plugin (like ieview).

I feel kindof silly here, but what is this supposed to show and do? The html in lister is just the code. Did I miss something or maybe install it wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ;)

Lister doesn't show the styles and images itselef.
Moreover - IEWebLister behaves as it had an integrated browser - you can view the local html file but after clicking a link it doesn't open your default browser (i.e IE, Opera, etc) but follows the link itself.

I must be doing something wrong then, because all I see is the html code itself. No links or anything. Just like I was looking at it in EditPlus 2. Is that the way it is suppsed to be?

I'm not sure - do you see the code using IEweblister? What happens if press '4' in options? Have you installed other lister plugins? If yes try to move it as the first one - maybe there is a conflict with any other one? Have you restarted TC after installing the plugin?

Bingo! That's what I was doing wrong. I had to press '4' even though it was alrewady on the html. Hitting it over and over again made it go back and forth from code to html page. Thank you, sir. That fixed it. ;)

The only way I could find to move it as the first plug-in was to delete them all and start over. There isn't a move up and down button. Now that it works, I don't have to move it. ;) Thanks again.

I'm going to have to find a listing of all the shortcut keys somewhere. I'm mostly a mouse user but there are some real good keyboard shortcuts that come in handy. Thank you, again, sir. ;)

Activate 'Load bitmaps as graphics at startup' in lister configuration when you want to load directly without need to press '4'.

I already have the item selected, but I still have to hit 4 for when I first view it to have it show up with the html formatting.

Thanks, DJK, that's very useful, but how in #$%&^@! did you find it???? It's not listed on the keyboard page, nor anywhere in the help files that I can find.

Are there any functional differences between IEWebLister and IEView?

First of all is that if you click any link in IEwebLister it opens it still in the same window and IEView opens it in the new browser.

This plugin is nice.
One thing, with this plugin I can't exit Lister by pressing ESC key, which I am used to. Could this feature be back in next version?

Wow.. buried in the second half of a tiny post responding to a completely different subject. I congratulate you on your powers of observation; most users will not be so astute and/or lucky. TC really needs a wiki; there's so much useful information hidden just below the surface. I'm sorry that I do not have the time to set one up.
