A/V on drive combobox MouseOver
I'm getting a/v @0043B22C when I hover over drive combobox items (class TMyComboBox). This happens only while hovering over dropped-down *items* (when selecting the drive with the mouse), and not when I hover over the actual compobox or that additional drop-down list with volume names.
I've noticed it on two separate computers (WinXP and Vista).
TC version is 7.03

Hello ! Welcome aboard !
• Prior, the current version is 7.04a, you might update TC and try again…
- But I think rather that some programme you installed recently has stollen that address and could be the culprit…
- Please, check this, here all is OK under Win XP-Pro SP1 - TC 7.04a…
KInd regards,
Claude

This seems to be a similar error as I reported here:
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=158096#158096
The error address is not the same but not so far away. The difference might be caused by the different TC version.

@Clo
Thx for the welcome

Something like it, one program cannot change the exe stub of another (at least in windows
), but it can mess up Atoms, which are like global memory parking spaces, something similar was already reported on Delphi Quality central:
h t t p : //qc.codegear. com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=541
you have to copy-paste the address since the forum security won't let me post links until I've "proven my worth"
Anyways, everything seems to fit, both computers have MSO2007 installed, and the error is not consistent (sometime it's there and sometimes it's not). QC states that the problem was fixed in Delphi 7, I don't know with which Delphi version was TC compiled.

Thanks, I will try to add the fix from
http://buglist.jrsoftware.org/generated/entry0686.htm
found at the above link.
@Lefteous: Please check if this worked when the beta test starts.

Do you mean that you could reproduce it with TC 7.5 once, or do you refer to your initial bug report?

OK, we will have to wait for user borisb or anyone else with this problem to confirm the fix...

Since I didn't get any similar reports since TC 7.5, I'm moving this thread to "fixed bugs" now.
