Persistant Error in TC throughout versions 6.01 to 7.04a

During longer FTP-sessions maximizing and minimizing TC and the file transfer window in front is common practice. To minimize both, the minimize button of the file transfer window is the usual way, as is the
taskbar button for maximizing. By utilizing the taskbar button for both minimizing and maximizing, produces unintended behaviour. Pressing
the taskbar button in rapid sequence for two or more times maximizes TC
and minimizes it instantly again. So far, so good. But allmost always it renders the taskbar button functionless.

After an unintended 'double click' TC won't open it's windows again by pressing the taskbar button, a right mouse button click won't open the scrollbar menu no more, Alt-Tab won't show TC as a choice anymore, Strg-Tab won't jump to the taskbar button, only the standart helptext 'Total Commander 7.04a - Not registered' is shown, or after some time the usual information about the still running upload/download,
using the mouse, pointing at the taskbar button.

Hours later when the file transfer has ended, the taskbar button regains its funtionality, when the file transfer window - possibly the trouble maker - has closed by itself.

No permanent harm is done, which can't be solved by terminating and restarting TC, but this is not a good way to work with servers, not supporting 'resume'.

The problem mentioned was first encountered with a machine running Windows ME and TC 6.01, and still plagues Windows XP and TC up to 7.04a.
