Windows 7 friendly progress bar

Totalcmd allows to make operations like file copy in background thread. Propgress is visualised in the title of the new window.
In Windows 7 one cannot watch what the progress is - all windows of the application are hided behind it's icon in taskbar.
But there is an API that allows to render progress on the icon -
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd378460%28VS.85%29.aspx#progress
It would be great if it will be implemented in totalcmd.

Hello !
• We have already something in that painting i.e. when up¦down¦loading files via F T P,
while you minimize TC in the
tray…
• Maybe could it be enhanced to all copy operations in the task bar ? The Author only can say, I guess…

Kind regards,
Claude

I will consider this when Windows 7 is ready for release. Currently it's in late alpha or early beta stage, so the functions can still change (and TC crash when using a changing function).

Absolutely! My Windows 7 beta 1 installation crashed badly yesterday. The built-in auto-repair was unsuccesful

From what I heard, it's the only beta and there will be only 1 RC too.

I made an AHK script that integrates the new progress bar into TC.

I have already worked on that, but postponed the addition until I get my hands on Windows 7 final. I have an MSDN subscription, and it should be available to MSDN subscribers by about August 6 or so...
