visual glitch with breadcrumbs bar and many directorys

Post by *Samuel »

If the scrolling of the breadcrumbs bar starts (because the directorys don't fit in the space) the line under the currently selected item has a little offset (if the down arrow is not visible in the breadcrumbs bar).

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem. The underline should go from the beginning of the folder name until (and including) the following backslash, and this works fine here. Can you put a screenshot on your homepage to show the problem, please? Maybe there is a special case where the underlining is wrong. If would also be nice if you could post a sample path name where this happens.

I knew about the following backslash.

A very useful path name. :D

Code: Select all

E:\Stuff\a\asdkljlkasdj lkasjdlkjasdlk\asdhkajsdkashd khaskdjha\askldjlkasd\asdhkljashd\asdjalsdjlas\asjdhlasdhlsa hlksdaj\
And here is the screenshot:

I could not reproduce it so far. Maybe it has something to do with you font settings. Could you please post them?

BTW: Is there any chance not to post BMP files but a standard web format like PNG? Thank you!

Microsoft Sans Serif, Standard, 9 for everything but the dialog boxes.
btw: had the dialog boxes also in size 9 but reduced it to size 8 when TC 7.5 had many visual glitches in the dialog boxes.

Changed the BMP to noncompressed JPG. I just wanted to have no pixel loss, because the problem are just some few pixels.

Your server sends the image with the MIME-type application/x-png - it would be better to send is as image/png then it can also be viewed directly in browsers like fireFox, SeaMonkey, Opera, Safari and Google Chrome that all relies on proper MIME type rather than Internet Explorer that relies on file extension.

I don't know if you have any rights to change that on http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/publish/SamuelPlentz though.

I can reproduce it with (Microsoft Sans Serif, Regular, size= 9) and the to the left arrow should be visible.
Here too with that particular path.

I don't doubt that - but I only tested with Samuel's path

Thanks, I can confirm the problem with Microsoft Sans Serif, 9. The problem seems to be caused by the slighly larger arrow buttons to the left of the path due to the larger font.
