Who can tell me how to close the new function ?

New functions and fixes in Total Commander 5.51:

---- A click on the currently active path allows to edit or copy/paste it

I want to disable this function, but how to do it ?

...how to close...
ESC closes. Or click somewhere else.
...disable this function...
I don't think you can disable it. Don't click the current path. (Why would you click on it, especially when it is the current path?) :wink:
Using Windows without Total Commander is like driving a car without a steering wheel!

But, there seems do have a way to disable this feature.
I remember I learned it from this forum long before, and it's disabled in my Totalcmd right now.
Should edit somewhere in wincmd.ini, but I totally forget where.

I know that you can disable the bar (configuration => show current directory) but disable the simple click to edit?

Oh, god! I made a mistake! Double clicking the bar will bring up the hotlist. But single click and wait for a second, the bar turns into editable.
The feature is still there.
Sorry!

[Configuration]
InplaceRenamePath=0
It's OK.
Thanks.

YESSSSS!! :P That one was on my wish list.
Now, I have InplaceRename disabled (I use SHIFT+F6 when I want to rename in place) and a shortcut CTRL+O to edit the currently active path.
So my wincmd.ini file has the following entries:

[Configuration]
InplaceRename=0

[Shortcuts]
C+O=cm_editpath
