A Couple of Questions

Post by *Preacher_mg »

Hey! new here. Not new to TC though... registered user since waaay back.

Anyway: saw the ICL libs people made to change the look of file icons. Was anything similar made for the toolbar buttons? I already made my own, but I wanna see what other people did...
Love the new icon interpolation, BTW. now the 24X24 icons look great.
oh, if you want to see what I did -

I'd also like to know how to use the visual sourcesafe plugin. I downloaded and installed it but now what? nothing new in the menus, context menu, etc.

Very nice Preacher! :D Are you considering sharing your work?

Go to your address edit, and type in a space before the "http:" part, that should make the image load. This is happening because Geocitites wont allow direct linkning to images, and refuse to show them, if your browser's previous page wasn't on geocities.

Copy/paste the link in to your adressbar and hit enter.
It's Geocity's (wanted) fault, that linking wont work.
As a known workaround, always try those noneworking links via addressbar.

Edit: Aezay was a sec faster. :)

What problems exactly do you have with VSS plugin? After installing it should be available under your Network Neighborhood, choose '\' in drive comboBox.
Make sure you have correct values in vss.ini file to be able to connect to your VSS db.

Yeah, I can see it there and navigate the directory structure. But how do I check in / check out? It says you can do it in the features but it doesn't say how.

thanks for any help!

Interesting how many people ask me this question :) - I think I'll add this into the readme file.
Simply copy out (F5) any file you want and the same goes for checkin, press copy button on already checkouted file.
Let me know, if you have any other questions.

shouldn't F5 simply get you a local copy of the file(s), without checking them out?
I believe the key combination has to be more complex, as check in / check out is a lot more complicated operation...

Any plans on adding 16x16 icons?

with the new icon interpolation the 32X32 icons should look more or less OK in 16X16... but I'll try to make smaller versions over the weekend.
