The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Hello, tbeu.
The stack trace shows "T.C. 7.50 pb7 pre1". Are you sure you are using the latest public beta 7 dated 16-07-2009?
Kind regards,
Karl

Newest TC also shows "pre 1" in stack trace. AFAIK Christian did not change that.

Hi, fenix_productions.
Thanks for enlightening me.
What does my
ignorance tell you about the number of T.C. crashes which I have had so far under T.C. 7.50 pb7?!

This time TC doesn't seem to be the cause of the error. It occurs in function ShGetPathfromIDListW, which is used to get a path for a folder object (ItemIDList). Seems like Windows or a shell extension is reporting a bad IDList.
Do you get this only in a specific directory?

Can't remember. As always it is not reproducable. I think I might start from a fresh TC installation which no plugins installed.

Plugins are not the cause here, except perhaps for Explorer extensions.
