It is totally Portable and needs no install. It writes NOTHIING except for
its own directory (the INI file) and your selection of SAVing a file.
Remove Empty Folders will let you select, or type, a folder, and will then proceed to
scan it and all descendant folders for empty ones. Meaning, with no files inside.
If the checkbox "Test Only" is checked (normal and default), nothing will be actually
done, but the list will be shown.
[ If it is unchecked all the empty folders will actually be deleted. ]
After the list fills the text box, you can EDIT the list, SAVE it to disk
as a text file for safety (You can always create empty folders...)
After editting you can also save the new list and then proceed (with a special button) to
delete all the folders in the list.
The program keeps the folowing options from session to session: Window position and size,
font details and the used language. The "Test Only" will always start checked...
The screen has four main areas.
LEFT
-- Drive/Directory selection on the left,
CENTER
-- A big white box in which folder names (to delete) are written and editted.
TOP
-- A one line edit box above this list specifying the selected folder.
-- An "Execute" button
-- A "Test Only" checkbox
-- A "STOP !" button. Attempts to abort current operation.
BOTTOM
-- "Exit" Button
-- Three icons (saves place)
-- "PC" = Start deleting all files listed (usually after editting)
-- "Diskette" = Save the current folders list in a text file (safety)
-- "Rubik Cube" = Text color selection for the list
-- Font selection listbox
-- Font Size selection listbox
-- Check Box for BOLD
-- Check Box for Italic
