Windows 7: Thumbnail view - cursor redraw problem
If I move the cursor up and down (by keys) in the thumbnail view of Windows 7 the cursor sometimes isn't shown or is shown with a "lag". (It is shown always if the thumbnail view scrolls because of the movement)
If its not shown I can minimize and restore TC to show the cursor. (I can also use the right and left arrow keys to show the cursor.)
I cant reproduce it for 100%. There is no Thumbnail-generation in progress or any other load from another task.
Sometimes I can reproduce it when I press "Windowskey+d" and switch to TC afterwards.

I have the same problem. When I move the cursor with the up or down
arrow keys I sometime (very seldom) see it move... but most of the time
nothing happens and then it just jumps to the file/folder I moved it to.
But most of the time I can't see the cursor at all and the only way to know
where it is is to press the space bar and then when it selects the file I can
see it again... but that's not fun if I'm on a directory with a lot och files : )

Cursors Keys no compatible with Windows 7
Someting is wrong with the windows 7 compatibility cause the same total commander 7.5 (portable usb version) works well in windows XP and Vista but the same TC does not work properly in Windows 7 the cursor freeze when you tried to move down or up using keyboard.
I probed diferent TC versions and all had the same problem using Windows 7

I have tried to reproduce this problem on Windows 7 too, but failed. Maybe it happens only with a certain number of thumbs per row, or a certain thumbs size or window width?

I tried this both with a colored frame and an inverted cursor (full color), but the redraw was 100% correct!
- What else did you change in the new ini?
- How many columns of thumbnails are shown?

BTW: I cant reproduce it for 100% sometimes it works - sometimes not.
Looks like only my win 7 bugs me. (Also the other bug with the copy from desktop...)

Strange, we will have to postpone that to a later version, sorry.

No - this is handled by Windows, TC just gets the WM_DRAWITEM messages. Can you try to make a video with a screen cam tool to show me what happens? Maybe it gives me some clue...
