Four panels

Post by *commodore »

Perhaps a somewhat radical suggestion, but anyway... :) Is there any way to have an option for turning on an "extra pair" of panels below the current one (that is, to have four panels in the TC window at the same time)?

How does it differ from launching two instances of TC or having tabs on both panels? Having exactly two panels is probably a feature built deep into the code. IMHO, implementing your idea would not add much to the functionality, but would be a huge task from programming point of view.

Has been discussed in the past. Try searching the forum.

AFAICR, Christian didn't like the idea because TC is designed around a 2-panels setup, considering one of them the "source" and the other the "destination". Adding 2 more panels would create many design-issues, especially when working with keyboard-only.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.
