I noticed this using my VirtualPanel. VP jumps to file or open archive in new tab using Shift+Enter key. For archives all work fine but for other files...
If file is not in the root folder, Shift+Enter works like Ctrl+Left/Right - new tab opens and file is focused. But if file is in root folder, focus doesn't jump to file, just folder is opened.
VP is not the reason, if you have file f:\temp\1.txt and you paste its path to path bar and press Enter, TC jumps to file, but if you copy this file as f:\1.txt and paste its path to path bar, TC will just open folder f:\ and won't set focus to 1.txt.
Wrong go to file in root dir

Hello, MVV.
Confirmed for T.C. 7.5x.
If you use cm_editpath and enter e.g. C:\config.sys, T.C. will jump to the root folder of drive C:. But it will not set the cursor on the filename config.sys.
If you use cm_editpath and enter e.g. E:\WinXP\Downloads\wiki.html, T.C. will jump to the folder E:\WinXP\Downloads and set the cursor on the filename wiki.html.
The same behaviour can be seen if you use the T.C. commandline and execute "cd C:\config.sys" vs. "cd E:\WinXP\Downloads\wiki.html".
Kind regards,
Karl
