I found another side-effect of using x64DisableRedirection=1 option:
It's not possible to get to "server" level of UNC path (e.g. \\machine\) -- you have to use full share name (e.g. \\machine\files\), which means you have to know its exact name, you cannot "browse" to it.

Indeed x64DisableRedirection=1 should no longer be used permanently, it was an old workaround before the cm_SwitchX64Redirection button was added to switch this option temporarily on when working in the Windows\System32 directory (and off again afterwards).
