Feature Request: "Rename all" as an option

Post by *jpcv »

I'd like to have an option "Rename all" when I have to copy a lot of files with the same name.
For example adding an (1) at the end of the file will be a solution.

Could be time saving at times, but I'd rather use the last spot in the Overwrite dialog, for a Compare by Content button.
Of all the planets I've been to, this one is my favorite.

Take a look at Files, Multi-Rename Tool (CTRL M).

There is such option:
During copying press "Options" and choose "Auto-rename..."

This option is not displayed when you are dragging the files.
How about displaying this option when asking the user the action?

IMO it is. There is additional button just below the destination folder, on the right.

May be I'm missing something in my configuration, but when I'm dragging the files with the mouse (not with the F5 key) to the destination folder, the only options I have displayed are:
Overwrite, Overwrite all, Skip, Cancel, Overwrite all older, Skip all, Rename and Append.
This is the place where I would like to see the Rename all option, or something like F5 Options.

We both are right :-)

It works at my computer and it doesn't work at yours because... it works only if you have "Configuration/Options/Misc./Get confirmation before: "Drag&Drop (copying files with mouse)"" ENABLED.

Maybe Christian will add such an option if it's disabled, too.

That's right. I've enabled the option you told me and it's working now.
Thank you very much for your help.

I'd like this option added too.
