Unzip Context menu
For quite a while I have been using a 3rd party program to unzip files simply because I can right click on the file and choose a context menu that will unzip the file into current directory (into a subdir based upon the zip file name).
To do the same thing in TC, I have to open the same directory in both panes, press Alt-F9, and check a box. Is there anyway to make a context menu for TC similar to that of the zip program?

Unpack: Another way---

I set a button in the tool-bar for "Unpack"... In a third-party program, you have to give the target-dir too generally, isn't faster I think.

In the 3rd party tool, I don't have to set anything, just select from the context menu.
In TC, I have the additional step of clicking the checkbox to unpack the zip into a subdir.
It's not as easy as using the 3rd party tool at all.

So does PowerArchiver, which is what I am using now. The problem is that when I am uncompressing a 700MB + archive, it really pegs my processor and when I do the same with TC, it doesn't (as much).
So, if I had a context menu to make the task that much easier...
Or when that TC Scripting tool becomes ready for prime time...

The Unpack-dialog is so annoying many times... But it provides options too.

- The actual one, using the dialog cm_UnpackFiles
- A new one like cm_UnpackWithoutDialog to unpack directly, skiping the dialog-box.

Winrar has background option also that will save your processor %.robinsiebler wrote:So does PowerArchiver, which is what I am using now. The problem is that when I am uncompressing a 700MB + archive, it really pegs my processor and when I do the same with TC, it doesn't (as much).
While TC is my right hand, winrar is fingers of that hand

After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart. The best we can do is breath and reboot.

Internal commands

Hello!
Hello CLO!
Most of the times you also have to create a new dir, maybe with a no specific name, but just to distinguish unpacked files from the others.
IMHO, the problem is not the dialog-box, but what kind of operation it suggests (by default) with a specific command.
My english is poor and perhaps it is hard to read, but part of this issue (consider only unpack example) is in the following post:

Hello CLO!
To get the same dir. for unpack files into, you have just to click once on the same drive button of the other pannel. Of course, you must set two groups of drive-buttons...

A good way could be to have two unpack-commands:
- The actual one, using the dialog cm_UnpackFiles
- A new one like cm_UnpackWithoutDialog to unpack directly, skiping the dialog-box.
