cursor got lost after leaving archive / folder via backspace

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

cursor got lost after leaving archive / folder via backspace

Post by *daaawooo »

using tc for some days and the cursor in the dir/file-listing are missing after leaving a zip/rar-archive or going a folder back up via backspace.
if I switch sides via "tab", the cursor reappears on the other side, hitting "tab" again the cursor is also visible an the other (origin) side.

this problem appears about 40-50% of the time not every time.

I haven't been able to reproduce this yet - can you reproduce it yourself with a fresh ini-file? (just start TC with the parameter /i=new.ini)

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it either, sorry. It may indeed be a settings problem, or some background program stealing the focus.

I have encountered similar behavior, where the cursor gets lost and TC still has focus. No reliable way to reproduce, though.

with a new ini it seems correct for some hours, but the problem didn't appear always in a session with my old config.

i looked in my config and the cursor-color was white, white on white = invisible, but I saw the cursor (black or darkgrey dotted frame) for some time (e.g. hours) with this setting and disappearing was randomly but when it was happened once, it happened every time I leaving an archive for the rest of the session, and as I wrote switching to the other pane brought back the cursors-visibility with no config changes.

now I'm running "default" cursor color (which looks like the same old black or darkgrey dotted frame that I had before) and no problems so far.
or some background program stealing the focus
I was entering and leaving rar-archives fast - so maybe the external packer-exe/dll ?
mmh, but the tab-key for switching panes was still working.
