Hello. In TC 7.55 in folder synchronization there is feature to use Ftp server extended commands to calculate CRC sums on remote machine, like XCRC command. But in ordinary ftp session TC still download file completely from ftp to perform compare operation. Can you enable using CRC commands to compare files in ordinary ftp session?
Thanks in advance.
Compare file by content via CRC sums in ftp session (XCRC).

TC does this so it can show the visual differences of the two files.

It's fine for small files, but if you want to compare some big ones, then starting with quick check using crc sounds like a good idea to me. Only if crc says they don't match, then download them and show the differences.
In theory you could even ask the server for partial checksums and download only those parts of file that actually differ.

Good point - I will consider it for TC8. In the meantime, use the synchronize tool with option "only selected". You can then double click on a pair of unequal files to download and visually compare them.
