Just after ftp command completed the second panel will resonse.

Sorry, I don't understand your problem. When TC is reading a directory from the server, the two panels are not accessible - it has always been like this. If the connection is connected but inactive, you can use both panels normally.
Can you please describe more in detail what you mean?

You are right.
In last days I not saw any dialog when open folder on ftp and I thought that the tc freezes. now I see a modal dialog that prevent any operatioon with main tc window.
But if we talk about it - why not to do ftp commands in separated thread?
I have some slow ftp's servers and when I working with em - it's slow down working with other operations in file system (because I need wait finishing ftp command such as openening foler on slow ftp and I can't do anything with TC).

OK, please let me know if you get a freeze somewhere, and try to describe in detail where you got it.
