Packing several files over 2GB prompts for each separately

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Packing several files over 2GB prompts for each separately

Post by *Borosnyay Péter »

Hello, I suppose I found a bug in TCMD 7.55 stable.

When I select several >2GB files for packing, TC asks the same question for each file. It is annoying, cos I can't leave TC alone to do the job, it requires regular user interaction, which is unneeded in a long-lasting operation.
The message is saying that .zip archives over 2GB are unreadable by some zip unpackers.

THX & Cheers,

Peter

Have you tried this INI option in section [Packer] of your WINCMD.INI?

Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

Indeed it's not a bug - if you use this regularly, set
WarnTooBig=0
(1 means that the option is on)

Yes, I've tried it works, but it still makes sense for me to warn the user only once.
Btw. isn't there a list that contains TC's all "hidden" .ini options ?

Look in the help under wincmd.ini and you find them all

This should be a normal option somewhere and not .ini...
