Auto-selecting name for new folder

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Auto-selecting name for new folder

Post by *twhansen »

Hi. I just tried o create a new folder in TC 7.55a. The new folder was to be called "XXXX-August-2010". As I already had a folder called "YYYY-August-2010" in the same directory, TC kept changing the typed name to this. Extremely annoying. This has to be a bug.

That's not a bug, it's called auto-append! You can turn it off in Configuration - Options - Operation.

AFAIK suggested name part appears selected - so you may just continue to type your name over selection.
