TC 7.55a doesn't allow use on WMP in Win 7 x64 version

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC 7.55a doesn't allow use on WMP in Win 7 x64 version

Post by *Shaf »

Whenever I try to Watch Movies from within Total Commander Ver. 7.55a on my Win 7 x64 Desktop Computer I get the error message "Error Executing program" after about 30 seconds and the file doesn't play. The Problem doesn't occur from the Desktop WMP (Windows Media Player) plays the files correctly.

The video player associations are set as:

Video Clip ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:8 /Open "%L")

This exact same setting works correctly on my Vista X64 Laptop also running TC 7.55a.

Is it a bug or a change to how Win 7 works vs. Win Vista. I'm using current Shark codec Packages on both systems.

That seems to happen because of a problem with DDE (dynamic data exchange). If you check the details of the association, is DDE turned on?
