The splitter bar between the two panels only supports double-clicks when it is off center. It would be nice if the splitter bar would go back to its previous position when it is double-clicked in the center.
Thus two scenarios when double-clicking panel splitter bar:
1) Splitter bar is not in the center and user double clicks: splitter bar goes to the center and makes the left/right panel the same size. This functionality is already in TC.
2) Splitter bar is in the center and user double clicks: splitter bar goes back to its previous position and resizes left/right panel as they were before. This functionality needs to be added to TC.
reason: I often use only one panel to have as much overview as possible. I obtain the single panel view by moving the splitter bar all the way to the side. When I double click the bar, I have my two panels back. However, when I want to have only one panel back, I must drag the splitter bar back to its previous position every single time. Many splitter bars "remember" their previous position and automatically go back there when double-clicked. TC would be better if it supports this functionality.
I guess there need to be two persistent positions: one for the horizontal and one for the vertical panel view.
