Cannot confirm in XP x64. Probably, OS- or settings-dependent. Did you try with empty INI?

The problem is still exist for me.
One update: If I enter manually a path (just for test: d: ), then later when I click on the address bar, the contents of it are available. If I restart the TC 8 x64, and just click on the bar, it became empty again instead of the contents can be edited...

I see it too. No crashes, but the empty address bar yes.

... and it's still what I originally entered, even though I'm already in different path, i.e. it does not get updated.

OS Win7 x64. Another Win7 x64 and XP64 are fine.

Hmm, no problem here with fresh ini. What theme do you use? AeroGlass (transparency) on or off?

I use the aero theme - transparency on. I send my ini file to you right now...

one update: On my test Win8 it is working fine - with the same config (copied over the installed one with config, plugins, etc.)

I use classic (win9x), but I tested it with others too (Basic Aero, transparent Aero) and it's the same. Only my main computer is affected, all others I tested are fine. But there are no obvious differences.

Maybe it's a display driver bug? Can you send me a screenshot of how it looks after the click on the address bar, please (beta at ghisler dot com)?

One more idea, maybe "address bar" name chosen by original poster can be misleading. It's actually "breadcrumb bar".

Demo of the problem + bonus crash: http://web.hisoftware.cz/sob/img/tc80b1x64-breadcrumb-bar-crash.avi (1MB)

Message from VS debugger: Unhandled exception at 0x76f73bbd in TOTALCMD64.EXE: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x0000000000c00fe8.

And good news, you should probably be able to reproduce the crash, just do what can be seen in the second part of the video. Click the bar to enter edit mode, then click back to file list and repeat. After doint it 5-10 times TC should crash. It does for me even on other computers where the problem with missing path is not present.
