[8.0B3 x64] & sign in item is ignored in the start menu

Post by *pulbitz »

I'm sorry. I don't speak English very well.

I'm using Windows 7 x64 Korean.

& sign in item is ignored in the start menu.

If I press P key, then PotPlayer excute. (not PhotoFiltre)
If I press M key, then MPlayer excute. (not Change Main Menu)

I cannot excatly reproduce this. Here only manually set hotkeys works.

But if I have two identical hotkeys set, then TC 8.0b3 x64 executes the first occurence, except if it is the fixed hotkeys S (Change Start Menu) or M (Change Main Menu) - then the fixed hotkey is executed.

Th 32bit version jumps between identical hotkeys when pressing the hotkey consecutively.

Indeed the Lazarus handling of hotkeys is very simplistic. I have just re-written the function for beta 4, it should then work like the Windows function with multiple items and items without '&'.

Handling of duplicate hotkeys and of first-letter hotkeys without '&' now seems to work correctly in TC 8.0b4 x64 :-)

It still works OK here in beta5. Maybe it only appears when using Korean language.

But I have another issue with the start menu: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=31695&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

If I assign shortcut key for an item, then totalcmd(x64) ignore others and only execute it.

please see a capture movie file.

Thanks for the video, that was very helpful indeed! The problem seems to occur when an item has defined a Ctrl+... hotkey AND begins with the letter you use with Alt. Then this menu item is found instead of the one underlined via "&". I will try to find the reason.

Hmm - still wonder what it takes to view that movie - I even reinstalled my DivX Player Plus v.8 without luck.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
I've tested with kmplayer & potplayer, did not find any problems.
Anyway I transcoded x264 to lavc mpeg4 and upload a file.
Please try again.

Thanks, I still couldn't play the new file in neither DivX Player or any other well-known players (Windows Media Player, QuickTime, Real Player - but I had a little "VLC Media Player" taht could play it (and as it turns out it could also play the first file you had uploaded).

Anyway after seeing your video, I can confirm the problem as
ghisler describes it.

Try Windows Media Player Classic - Home Theater, it comes with its own codecs and can play almost anything.
