TC doesn't calculate space occupied by SPACE button

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC doesn't calculate space occupied by SPACE button

Post by *Caterp!llar »

Pressing SPACE button on dir shows '?' in column 'Size' in full mode.
TC 8.0b3 x64, Win7 x64 SP1 Professional Russian, NTFS
Configuration->Operation->Calculate space occupied by subdirectories->when selecting with the space bar: checked

Cannot confirm. After some time needed for calculating, both Size column and status bar are updated here and show the sizes.

Try with a different directory. You probably tried it with a directory containing hard links causing an infinite loop.

I've made some investigations.
It seems like accidental fail.
Disabling DrWeb Antivirus Spider Guard resolved the problem.
After re-enabling DrWeb the issue is not reproducible.
Closed.

I see, thanks for the clarification. Virus scanners may slow down this function quite a lot, so you may just need to wait long enough.
