password field cant store eastern europe characters (v8.0b4)

Post by *szaki »

1. ctrl + f meka a new connection with password, eg. 'ö' (hungar umlaut o)
2. try login to the ftpd
3. it drops: wrong password

if i leave the password field empty and i type ö letter during connecting ftpd it works fine

Hello, szaki.

Please, let us know whether you experience the problem using
+ Total Commander 8.0ß4 32-bit
+ Total Commander 8.0ß4 64-bit

Reason for asking:
There have been previous problem reports and fixes later on where only the 64-bit version failed to handle strings correctly in case they held non-English characters.

Cheers,
Karl

Works here.

Password saved in beta 4 does not work in beta 4 nor beta 5.
Password saved in beta 5 works in both.
So it seems only saving was wrong.
Tested with both encrypted and non-encrypted passwords.
