[8.0ß4-x64] Selection scroll issue

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[8.0ß4-x64] Selection scroll issue

Post by *sekular »

I just had a strange problem where i was alt+tab and then using the scroll wheel and selecting items with the left mouse click button. The text looked like it had frozen at the wrong scroll. It is difficult to describe. Every time i clicked the left mouse button on the file browser it would change the name of the file under the cursor to something else within the file list. As if i scrolled to fast for it and the cursor thought i was some where else. I have struggle to recreate the problem so it could be some thing non related. But i have never seen that behavior previously.

I've seen it a few times (in older TC versions), too, mainly in a dir with many files during high system load. In Brief view after scrolling with the wheel the panel showed files from a different scroll position (the file names might have been taken from a column that was eg. two columns to the right; ~2 columns of file names fit in one panel on my screen at that time, IIRC). When the cursor wen over them (I have singleclickstart) the file names were re-painted with the correct file names at that position.
As this does not really seem fixable, I am not sure it's worth spending time on.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Yes that exactly right, all i did was scroll again to fix it so not a big deal. I had not seen it previously so i thought i should mention it.
