Cannot confirm - are you using a plugin to show the content of a directory in Lister ? In that case which one: HTMLView, IEView, VisualDirSize, another one ?

No plugins installed.
(Btw, I never used any plugin since TC introduced the plugin system, and yes, I proud of it :) )

I still cannot confirm that (clean ini file)

But if I press F3 on a lage directory (like c:\windows) and press arrow down while "..." is shown, then it is changed to "?" and TC stops calculating the space.

It is not different from how it has always worked when using Crtl+Q

Same effect using PageDown - I get a question mark in the Lister Window - nothing scrolls away.

Hi, folks.

Testing environment:
  • Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit
  • Total Commander 8.0ß8 32-bit
  • using the commandline option /I=.\fresh.ini (i.e. fresh empty ini-file to de-activate all lister plugins)
In this environment it is possible to make lister push the text up until it is outside the visible area by pressing <pgdown> a few times.
But as far as I can tell, pressing <pgup> once will always bring it back.

Cheers,
Karl

I can reproduce the bug now.

Prerequisite:
1. No plugins enabled - of course.
2. The info has to be finished loading (wait for info about big folders to be calculated)
3. I use PageDown, NOT cursor down (ArrowDown) as reported by Biozynotiker.

If the text is scrolled out of view with Pagedown, it is not possible to scroll back with ArrowUp - but one press on PageUp or Ctrl+End (not Ctrl+Home) will bring the text back into view.

This also applies to the Ctrl+Q view (and then also applies to TC 7.56a).

I can confirm the problem with Ctrl+PageDown. Btw, this has been in Ctrl+Q and no one has bothered for many years...
