I don't know whether this is the right place for this report. Maybe it's a bug in the plugin itself, but maybe it's a bug in the plugin function of TC.
I installed the 7z-plugin from http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/7zip_plugin.html
1. When I want to compress a huge amount of files a dialog with text "Plugin - 7z:" and a progressbar appears. My external drive (where the files are located) begins to clatter (indexing files).
2. Now I press CANCEL but nothing happens.
3. I press the red cross of the dialog to close it --> this works but my HDD continues to clatter.
4. Clattering stops after some seconds
5. Now when I retry to pack files the dialog appears, but my HDD keeps silent and after some seconds an error message appears: "Cannot open file!". But my HDD is still connected and I can access all files on it.
---------------------------------
There are two problems in my description:
1. CANCEL button does not stop the process, the dialog kept open.
2. The plugin does not work, even when I restart TC
I had also a look into the process mananger. I could not find a working process like 7zip or TC.

Sounds like a plugin problem - maybe we should move this to the plugins forum?
