Try and disable the Secure Input...
[General]
AllowHook=0
BTW, when secure input is enabled, there is a Ding sound when the master password dialog is closed - it is not there when secure input is disabled, and it is not there in the 32bit version.

I know - there is a ding when the dialog opens, or if I click the padlock icon, but it is an extra ding when the dialog is closed, I am talking about - it dings no matter whether it is closed by OK or Cancel...TC plays a ding sound each time it adds and removes the hook for the secure input.

I can confirm that I can now press Enter in the FTP master password dialog in TC 8.0b14 x64
Also there is now only one ding, but it doesn't occur at the same time as it does in the 32 bit version.
In the 32 bit version (under Win 7 x64, NOT under Win XP 32bit) the ding occurs when the password dialog OPENS.
In the 64 bit version (under Win 7 x64) the ding occurs AFTER I have filled out the password and I press Enter.
Under Win XP 32bit there is no ding.

In my experiments the ding occurs both when the dialog is opened AND closed, while in 32-bit version it occurs only on opening.petermad wrote:In the 64 bit version (under Win 7 x64) the ding occurs AFTER I have filled out the password and I press Enter.
But I created a separate topic for this problem, I think it's better to move there so that the bug reported in the first post could be closed.
