Date display

Post by *tcebob »

First the apology: I had this problem before and posted about it. The proposed solution worked then but not now. Sorry to have to ask again.

The dates in the detail file windows read european-style (26,01,04) which is confusing to me, being used to 01/26/04. I did check the windows settings and they are correct. I tried removing and reinstalling TC but still the same.

What's the fix?

I opened in the control panel the intl.cpl (in german Regions- und Spracheinstellungen) and changed the format for the date. TC followed this changing immedately. So I guess you should change it in windows (just typing intl.cpl should open the approptiate control - at my PC it did)
If you did check these options, just ignore my tip.

Delphi is unable to cope with datum separators having more than one characters. Check the datum separator in the Control Panel and also see if it corresponds to the date format specification.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

If the date is already set to USA, then change it to European, close the control panel applet, re-open it, and change it back to U.S.
