[BUG] 7.57 Refresh not working?

I started a delete of my USB disk (though I think it would not matter if it is an internal HDD). It had lots of files (10 or 20,000+ files) of different sizes.

I started F8 delete, then ALT/B (background). I did some work in the mean time and after I switched to DELETE thread files deleted indicator was not updated at all. See pic.
I expected the update of the file it was deleting when percentage deleted changes but it did not happen.

Windows XP, SP3, has not been patched in a whiiiillle (standalone system, no IP etc.).

I don't know if I can reproduce the bug.

Any ideas?

Did you delete many directories? The background progress dialog will show only the files.

Sorry for a late reply. Can't remember really. Possible. How many is *many*? 10+ or 10,000+? I would say probably up to a 1,000 in total.

Can you try with TC 7.57a rc1, please? It uses the same functions as TC 7.56a for these size calculations.

I will try it again. First with 7.57 (to see if I can reproduce the error) and then with 7.57a rc1.

Thanks - the deadline is Thursday evening, if you can't find anything in TC 7.57a rc1 until then, I will have to release it and postpone the problem to TC8.
