Scrolling long lists

Post by *LonerD »

TC 8.01 both x32 and x64
Windows 8 Enterprise x64
Screen resolution 1280x800.
I have 38 configured custom columns.
When I press Shift+F1 or right mouse button on columns captions - I see it:

At the top of list there are up arrow, but at bottom of list there are NO down scroll arrow.
It's not problem when I work from keyboard, but uncomfortably when work with mouse.

Same situation in cofiguration.

Please, add down arrow.

Will be wonderful, if it were possible to scroll the lists with mouse wheel.

These arrows are added automatically by Windows when a menu is too long. This isn't a TC feature, it's all done by Windows itself. It looks like a bug in Windows 8 that the bottom arrow is missing.

But in long main menus arrows are present.
Is something difference with main menu and plugins\columns menus ?
Maybe you can add "Next submenu" (as in Opera browser) for long menus.

No, both are the same popup menus - just one is a child of a main menu, while the other is created via CreatePopupMenu...

As you can see here:

I have the arrows for scrolling. This is under Win 7 - so it looks like Win 8 has a bug (big surprise ;-) )

Maybe it's because you have the task bar at the top? Could you try the same with the task bar at the bottom or on the sides, please?

No such problem. :)

So, this is yet another problem with top taskbar (So many problems in Windows with top taskbar position...)

I can confirm the bug under Windows 7 - if I place the task bar at the top - so no Windows 8 bug - just a Windows bug.
