WWW.TOTALCMD.NET is out (new site about Total Commander)

Finally www.totalcmd.net is out. This is the english version of www.wincmd.ru and I hope you will love it

It is still in testing regime so I do not announce anywhere, but I hope already fully functional.

All the plugin-writers can get access to add new plugins, update them and edit descriptions, what's new etc. To get access, please email me webmaster@wincmd.ru

Hope boost it functionality and content in near future.

Today I introduced new design of site.
Also you may subscribe to newsletter about plugins' updates which will be out in near future.
Tomorrow I plan to add search.

Now I am working on site search now.

Also now every author has his own page where all his plugins listed. For example François Gannier's plugins and utilities on TOTALCMD.NET.

I can make also author's photo, little biography etc. on these pages. So it would be like nice profile of plugin-writer. What do you think?

Also I would like to note that in order your plugins (utilites, icon packs, addons, menus, etc) to be listed on www.totalcmd.net you should contact me webmaster@wincmd.ru or ICQ me and I will create accounts for you - you will be able to manage your plugins (utilites, icon packs, addons, menus, etc), inforamtion yourself.

Please note that I plan to make just service not manage and update your plugins Now about 60% of authors manage and update their plugins themselves and find it convenient.

Also please note that plugins listed on totalcmd.net are listed on wincmd.ru and reviewed in my russian newsletter - so placing your plugin on www.totalcmd.net will make it downloadable for more than 2000 unique daily visitors and for about 12000 newsletter subscribers!

All these are great ideas but what I'm missing is an FTP system for better file managing of uploaded files. You may consider a BulletProof server ( http://www.bpftpserver.com/ ) configuration if it can be integraded with your current setup.

What it does? I can set unlimited FTP-accounts on my current hosting. But making 100+ FTP-accounts is not good anyway. But I think it is quite not bad to upload files through admin panel. You've got an error today because uploaded not an archieve file. Server didn't know an extention .mnu so the file was errorous.

But if you send me personal inquiry I will open for you FTP-account if you have several files to add or plan to update you files regulary.

PS. Added english description to almost all plugins and utiliies!
