Problems with using internal unzip against Winzip 9.0 files

Post by *Tang »

Last days I've got several WinZip 9.0 archives with a password and TC 6.02 cannot unzip it with internal one. :( Is any way to workout it without using external module :?: Now I have to use WZUNZIP.EXE from WinZip 9 pack. Previous versions of WinZip pass archives are working fine with TC 5.x /6.x . Thanks for any advise.

BTW: The new Winzip now uses AES for encryption - not the standard ZIP encryption anymore, so the internal ZIP DLL with en/decryption doesn't work anymore.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Does anyone know if the AES encryptor plugin works for those Winzip 9 files? At least to unzip them?
I mean this plugin

I have the plugin, but I don't have any Winzip 9 files to try that. Maybe someone already has ...
Or someone can confirm that the plugin doesn't work ...

The AES plugin doesn't work with new WinZip 9.0 files.
So, the only way to unzip such archives is to use an external command line WZUNZIP.EXE .
