Transfer failed, continue operation? - question

Post by *SanskritFritz »

I got this message, when uploading a large file to a slow server. First i pressed Yes, the target got deleted and I almost committed suicide. Next time, pressing No, the file stayed on the server, so i was able to continue the upload with resume.
My question is, because i dont understand the message: what operation is to be continued? The deleting of the partial file on the server? I completely misunderstood it, i thought, TC tries to resume the upload by "continuing the operation"
Could it be a more descriptive description, Christian? If yes, what should it be?
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Total Commander does NOT delete any partially uploaded or downloaded files - maybe you just didn't refresh the listing because you were disconnected, or the server deleted the file because of some server error?
what operation is to be continued?
The upload operation: If you have multiple files selected for uploading and click "Yes", then TC will try to upload the next file, otherwise it will abort the entire upload operation. But in neither case the partial file will be deleted...
