BUG: Un-zipped files have their timestamps overwritten

Post by *trids »

Hi There!

I'm a long time supporter of TC, and once again it came to my rescue. This time while copying files from one device to another: copying them in bulk as individual files over WiFi yielded several file errors .. but when i placed the ones that failed into a ZIP file first, there were no more errors.

Except. When unzipping them, the timestamp of each file was overwritten with the timestamp of the unzipping process!

This is particularly tragic when once notices that the timestamps INSIDE the zip file are preserved. Please maintain the timestamps of files when unzipping them.

Thanks for a wonderful app - everyone i share it with has become a fan.

Sorry, this is a bug/misfeature of newer Android version: The function to set the file timestamp fails. This was discussed previously here in the forum.
