EncInfo (content plugin)

Post by *Alextp »

http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/EncInfo.html

Plugin detects:
a) if a file text or binary,
b) what encoding has a text file.
Bad ASCII field result? give example of file.

Thanks for the plugin, just tried it and I found it to be quite useful.

What does ";binary_ignore=08 1F" mean in the ini file?
Would there be a way to only check certain extensions (just text files?)
I have some folders with many PDFs and other binary files and can be a bit slow when browsing the folder ...

Binary_ignore means that specified hex codes of bytes 're ignored during detection of binary files. By default these are codes 00 ... 1F.

check only some extensions- no, not good idea..

OK thanks. It is easy enough to create a custom view before using the custom columns :-)
