If you search for duplicates and only use "same plugin field" (name, size and content fields are unmarked) and save this setting the field "name" is now marked after loading. So loading a setting changes the "name" field from unmarked to marked.

Also, the help text is not correct. I posted a separate bug report for that.
I also posted a suggestion to remove automatic selection of the checkboxes here.
