-Misleader message

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Misleader message: if the totalcmd.chm is not present in the program directory, the operating system (XP SP3 32B) sends an error message "...TOTALCMD.HLP not found...". In addition, other applications do not generate any error message in such situation.

TC tries to find CHM, and it it fails, it looks for a HLP file with the same name. That's why you get this error.

It looks like TC does not look for the HLP file, but simply calls the WinHelp system for this file. The WinHelp system shows the error.

It shouldn't be hard to look for the HLP file before calling WinHelp and display a better error. "...TOTALCMD.CHM not found..."

Yes, the error comes from Windows when TC tries to open the HLP, so unfortunately I cannot change the words of the error.
